Denver
Denver & Intermountain
This scene is the yard next
to the West End car house. This was home base to the coal trains they ran
to feed the powerhouse. The brick building in the background was new. It
was a substation DTC built to convert commercial power for trolley coach
use on the #13 line. The 1328-29-30-31 had a different truck than the other
cars, and, I believe, was one of the four cars used to haul the coal train
prior to building the steeple cabs.
June 22, 1950 just after
abandonment.
