TRACTION AROUND NORTH
AMERICA
This commuter car is Long
Island Railroad #4153, an MP-54A1 type electric MU car built by the Pennsylvania
Railroad in 1930. Hundreds of cars of this type were once operated
by the PRR and LIRR. This particular example was acquired by the
Connecticut Trolley Museum of East Windsor, CT in 1972 and for a time actually
operated at CTM (note the car's trolley poles).
