Chicago Surface Lines
Stony Island Ave, somewhere between 67th (where the streetcar started to run in the median) and 93rd (end of line).  The background looks like Stony Island (probably closer to 93rd than 67th), and the car (# 3191) would have been used on Route 28 (compare cta0980.htm, which shows car # 3197 at 93rd and Stony).  It must have been taken around 1950 or 1951, shortly before conversion of Route 28 to bus, given the faded paint job and poor condition of the car.
